- Criminal Code Division 119 — Foreign incursions and recruitment, Imprisonment for life for "Allowing use of buildings, vessels and aircraft to commit offences" including knowingly permitting "a meeting or assembly of persons to be held in that place" where those persons are planning certain activities.

- To "assist in identifying persons who may be a security concern to Australia or a foreign country" biometrics can be taken at immigration or customs including "a photograph or other image of the person’s face and shoulders; and any other personal identifier referred to in subsection (2A) that is prescribed by the regulations".
- Where previously only "non-citizens" were required to provide certain things, this is now replaced with "persons" (ie. inclusive of Australian citizens).
