Tasmania

We only had one candidate nominate for Tasmania, so we have opted not to run this election. We require two candidates to field a group ticket.

Updated photos and bio’s/statements will be added to https://pirateparty.org.au/candidates/ soon.

Thank you so much to all our nominees for throwing your hat in the ring. It is greatly appreciated.
Don’t forget that we will be aiming to start contesting local and state elections as a priority after this federal election so members are encouraged to think about their local options for both running and building the party as well.

Note: The elected/not elected column denotes the approval vote. This stage of the vote is merely to determine if a candidate is approved to run by the membership. It has no bearing on the candidate order on the ballot. The Rank candidates for the Senate vote determines the running order. Where we have 3 or more candidates, the third candidate misses out on being on the ticket. Due to an error in setting a display variable some candidates are mistakenly showing as “not elected” when they were indeed “elected”, this is a display issue only and does not effect the outcome of the vote.

Update to original post: Due to new employment commitments Vic Candidate Luke Housego has withdrawn from the ticket. We are happy to announce that the next ranked candidate, Richard Burleigh, will take his place on the Victorian ballot.
