Minutes

Brendan flying to Qld

  • Brendan will be flying to Queensland next Tuesday to help with the election.

Corflutes

  • We will need corflute signs for the election day
  • Jarrod to design them
  • Make the design similar to the Greens, so they can be reused for future elections.
    • Just leave a space for a name.
  • Mel will send photos to Jarrod
  • We want to make these as resuable as possible
    • Recycling
    • Cost effective
    • So much more
    • Can look good.
  • Backgrounds can be colour matched so that images can be stuck on seamlessly.
  • Jarrod will make a mockup of the idea quickly
  • Signs should:
    • Have the smallest number of words possible, in big text
    • Non-confusing background to be readable by drivers
  • Each election we can just put a new sticker on them.
  • Quote for corflutes was $2,225 for 250 of them.
    • We probably want 100 at most — 50 for street, 50 for boothes.
    • Might cost about $1100 instead, because of economies of scale.
  • Jarrod to make design by tomorrow morning
  • Dimensions are 600 by 900mm.

More HTVs

  • Electorate has 90,000 voters.
  • 10,000 HTVs is about $3700.
  • If we send out a volunteer email ASAP, we will know how many HTVs are needed.
  • Mel will also check up with all the volunteers from the federal election
  • 4% of the vote will give us a return of about $9,000 in electoral funding.
  • Mel to draft an email for volunteers tonight, Brendan to send tomorrow morning.

mX

  • Frew to look into mX ads again.

Provisional budget

  • Agreed that $4,000 is a good amount for the election campaign.
