Previous meeting's minutes

Site Blocking

  • We started working on another howto guide
  • It needs to be for people who aren't IT savvy... so keep it simple
    • if it makes the readers eyes glaze over in technical jargon it will be useless
  • we have about a week until this actually comes into effect.
  • Probably work it from easiest to most complex
  • I think we should aim to have the content done by the monday...
  • Needs people to make sure the info is correct and understandable for non-IT people
  • PR on this topic brought in a lot of traffic and was a well written headline

Congress

  • IT and DanielJ were going to check out venue in person on Saturday but DanielJ cant make it.
    • IT will still check it out, either Sat or later date
  • unraveled will most likely make it at least for the saturday, so she will bring the banners down
  • Venue is all paid for now and confirmed etc
  • Need to book that PA etc
  • Will also check the internet reception etc at venue, if need be can revive the Vodaphone sim from last year, but checking venue first.
    • DanielJ has possession of dongle from last time as Keating had posted it down

Nominations/NC

  • Mel, Brendan and David all confirmed not rerunning, so we will need to scout for some new blood most likely as well
    • if you know of anyone that would be suitable, please suggest it to them etc
  • Frew has been talking to a couple folks but noone has committed yet as far as we know

General Business

  • Have only had a small amount of requests so far from people asking to be sent NSW forms in post... :-( starting to worry we wont make the 100
