Internal Report Backs

  • Tyrone reports back on the PDC meeting
    • Current work being done on land use / zoning reform
      • Alex is very happy with this
    • Not proceeding with a statement on the Voice to Parliament proposal

Fusion Report Backs

  • Some differences of opinion between Fusion movements as to campaign focuses
    • same old
  • "Two Victorian meetings, one Exec meeting, a Values workshop, and about 1000 emails - Miles
  • Vic timeline adopted
    • Next three weeks needs PPAU to assist with identifying and supplying volunteers
  • Issue: PPAU-VIC mailing list has ~500 recipients (many former members), but we would like to avoid double-handling.
    • Can possibly set up / take over another list for it
  • Volunteers are coming online at a Fusion level
    • Target 50 pairs of boots on ground
  • VEC member audit officially ends next Tuesday (postmarked by then, at least)
    • Second chance if need be
    • Just over 600 submitted (and mailed)
    • Signs are reasonably positive for responses
  • Roger: Other admin things too.
    • Fusion AGM must be held by the end of November. Looking at late-October date.
    • Much more admin-focused than PPAU Congress. Reports and elections and constitutional changes.
  • Monthly member meeting last night too, about 20 in attendance

General Business

JA engaging with Tim Hollo book

  • Tim wrote a book "Living Democracy"
    • John read and responded on the radio
    • John has quite a number of critiques
    • Thanks to John for reading it

Actions going forward

    • Re-engagement the priority given active membership ratio

  • MOTION: acknowledge the motion results from Congress as follows:
    • PM-1 passed 82% in favour;
    • PM-2 passed 82% in favour;
    • PM-3 passed 75% in favour;
    • PM-4 passed 73% in favour;
    • CAP-1 lapsed due to not reaching quorum.
