Appendix A - Positions

Information Officer (1)

Summary

An officer for the purpose of managing Events, Treaties and Inquiries Officers and consider the creation of further positions in order to delegate these tasks effectively.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage a team of people
  • Excellent time management
  • Sharp eye for detail
  • Extremely reliable
  • Highly active

Responsibilities

  • Host meetings
  • Delegate tasks effectively to other officers, generate new roles within the Information committee if required.
  • Corral data into usable forms to keep members and the public informed as to our movements


Events Officer (1)

Summary

An officer for the purposes of calling meetings, managing calendars and updating the Party with events that we should or might like to attend.

Requirements

  • Can keep time
  • Fairly active
  • Very reliable

Responsibilities

  • Announcing meetings
  • Updating an event calendar with relevant events
  • Proposing meeting dates to the National Council
  • Being a conduit between committees and NC for requesting meetings


Treaties Officer (multiple)

Summary

An officer for the purposes of watching the development of treaties, and taking part in the negotiation process such as attending public consultations and making enquiries as to the content of the agreement.

This officer would report to the Information Officer and give regular updates to the Party as treaties develop.

Requirements

  • An interest in and an understanding of the effect that treaties may have on domestic and international law
  • The time to pursue various Government departments in order to get information
  • A keen eye for detail and weasel words

Responsibilities

  • Keeping up to date with new treaty and FTA proposal
  • Informing the party of updates to treaties and FTAs
  • Attending stakeholder forums wherever possible
  • Provide regular reports of updates in the treaty process


Inquiries Officer (multiple)

Summary

An officer for the purposes of watching the development of inquiries and assisting in the development of a response to these inquiries.

This officer reports to the Information Officer.

Requirements

  • An interest in inquiries
  • Ability to keep up*to*date so we do not miss any inquiries

Responsibilities

  • Keeping up to date on new inquiries and changes to current inquiries
  • Provide regular updates in inquiry process


International Relations Officer (1-2)

Summary

An officer for the purposes of interacting with foreign counterparts in other parties and meeting our responsibilities as defined in the PPI statutes at the request of the National Council.

This officer reports to the National Council.

Requirements

  • An interest in international issues
  • A willingless to branch out to foreign parties
  • Multi*lingual is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Interacting with foreign parties
  • Attending PPI fora
  • Regularly discuss anything of importance with the National Council


Campaigns Officer (1)

Summary

An officer for the purposes of leading the Campaigns Committee.

This officer reports to the National Council.

Requirements

  • A desire to create and manage interesting campaigns
  • The ability to manage a small group of people

Responsibilities

  • Planning and executing campaigns with National Council approval
  • Constantly on the look out for new campaign targets
  • Provide regular reports into the happenings within the committee


Infographics Designer (1-3)

Summary

A committee member for the purposes of developing vibrant infographics to visualise our goals and policies.

This committee member reports to the Campaigns Officer.

Requirements

  • Talented at the creation of infographics
  • A desire to create infographics

Responsibilities

  • Working with others to find enough information to make detailed infographics
  • Creating infographics


General Designer (1-3)

Summary

A committee member for the purposes of developing graphics for the party such as general website graphics or posters for publication.

This committee member reports to the Campaigns Officer.

Requirements

  • A talent for visual design
  • A desire to create great graphics

Responsibilities

  • Create graphics for campaigns and other situations

Appendix B - Policy Development Committee Scope and Responsibilities

  • This committee will be responsible for the research, development and writing of all the Party policy documentation and statements.
  • It should provide a procedure for members to submit policy issues and ideas, so as to provide each member with the opportunity to contribute.
  • It will assess each issue as to whether it fits in with Party's scope of issues, and the international Pirate Party movement generally.
  • It will write FAQs with regards to party policy.
  • It should have regular minuted meetings where all members are welcome.
