National Council Meeting Tuesday 4th August

Previous meeting

Handover

  • PR and FG set up with email accounts, JA never lost his.
  • Miles invites someone to consider acting as Deputy Secretary/Treasurer
  • Miles goes over day to day NC: responsible for approving press releases and media. NC is the first and last point of call for things.
  • Miles: "I would like to have something going out every fortnight"
  • Note: PRs and graphics have a two-NC approval rule.
  • Alex describes AEC authorisation requirements
  • Miles describes PiratePad and EmailPad details
  • Quick overview of the press release process

Post Congress voting

  • Close at least a week later, suggest 23:59 Sat 14th.

By-elections

  • "21 days from the date of resignation" best matches "21 days after Congress"
  • By-election meeting then set for Sunday 16th
  • Nominations open ASAP and close at start of the meeting

Future NC meetings

  • past two years have had 20:30 AEST/AEDT (always 8:30pm Sydney time)
  • Thursday nights also acceptable
