Call-out For Leadership Positions In The Pirate Party Of Australia.

Elections will be held on-line at 8pm (AEST) on the 7th of October for the National Council of the Pirate Party of Australia (PPAU). A list of candidates is available here. Note: This list is subject to change at any time as applications are still open. Positions:Vote

  • Deputy General Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Deputy Treasurer

The President and Deputy are the faces of the party. They need to be fairly well versed across all of the issues, well spoken and dedicated to the aims of the Party. General Secretary and Deputy General Secretary are the administration roles, looking after correspondence, membership, meeting notifications, publications of meetings and minutes and liaising with the Australian Electoral Commission. Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer are responsible for the Party finances, banking and collection of donations. These are positions created through the Proposed Constitution v 1.0 and will be formally voted upon at our first National Congress, which will occur with our registration, whenever that occurs. We’ll also be looking for people with experience or knowledge in campaigning or promotion to assist the elected National Council, so if you think you have the skills, knowledge and know-how, drop us a line. All positions require people with the time and dedication to fulfil the setup, and subsequent daily running of a national political organisation – no sailing experience is necessary though.
