Hi Miles,

We would like to congratulate you on your decision to stand in the upcoming Federal Election on May 18th.

Almost one in three people in Australia live with a lung condition. Lung conditions are the second leading cause of death and account for more than 10% of the total health burden in Australia. Currently, many people with lung conditions have poor access to evidence-based care and Lung Foundation is working hard to change this scenario.

Please find attached a letter to you, explaining more about this and another document with our platform for this election. At this late stage this is for your information.

We hope that you will support people with lung conditions and personally wish you all the best on election day.

Thank you Judy for reaching out. We have policy positions for patent reform to make pharmaceuticals more affordable, and we believe in universal access to high quality health care which would lead us to supporting the other priorities on your program.

Following the election, we will be looking at formally adopting various policy asks into our national platform. We'd welcome working with you to integrate our values and principles into your program.
