Aim

This is a list of companies that are affected by issues that Pirate Party Australia campaigns and fights for. For example, ISPs would be forced to raise costs from policing users and thus we can recommend to them "No mandatory policing users" in their advertising to help them raise awareness and show a competitive advantage over other ISPs. So thus, it would open a dialogue with those involved in order to raise discussion and awareness about good policies as a buffer against the future negative proposals by government and businesses.

Internet Filter

Since the government can't impose mandatory filtering, they're now throwing money and probably for the same reason, several companies are imposing mandatory filter on their users. Why not embrace capitalism and get people aware of the filtering companies.

Involved

iiNet, Internode

Suggestions

"We don't censor users." "They censor users, we don't." "Browse freely without censorship." "No mandatory filter here!" "At least a choice of filter or not."

Public Domain advocation

A very difficult topic since it's very hard to explain the benefits of public domain when it's being squashed by the tsunami of pro-extremist-copyright education.

Involved

Libraries

Suggestions

"Richer culture that anyone can enjoy." "Public Domain Means Anyone Can Copy section."

Collection societies

A tricky area since collection societies push the belief that they are all about making it easier. Due to the averseness to 'tax' word, it may be prudent to raise awareness that it's causing increased costs with services involved. At the very least, if there's enough customers that demand public domain music, then they can waive the fee and not pay collection society.

Involved

Any public performance venue, education, crown

Slogan suggestions

"Mandatory Collection Society Licence Tax: $#" "Mandatory Collection Society Licence Fee: $#"

Three Strikes

Due to several countries are adopting three strikes or similar schemes, it seems prudent to raise awareness of losing Internet.

Involved

ISPs {iiNet, Internode}

Suggestions

"We won't cut your Internet at request of Hollywood."
