- Is copyright the best we can do?
- The Working Group is to consider the viability of repealing the Copyright Act and replacing it with more suitable legislation.
- This is a ground-up approach to achieving the goals of copyright, rather than simply reforming a broken system.
- Agreement to use the term 'original works' to reflect what is intended to be protected.
- Outcomes and specific questions to be interpreted as broadly or narrowly as each Working Group member sees fit.
- Agreement to adopt outcomes: see http://pad.pirateparty.org.au/p/alt-copyright-policy
- Agreement to adopt specific questions: see http://pad.pirateparty.org.au/p/alt-copyright-policy
- Working Group members to individually research and answer questions as they choose.
