Previous meeting minutes

  • Changed times to AEDT (rather than AEST).
  • Removed inconsequential off-the-cuff remarks.

Applications for PDC

  • See motions
  • Sam withdrew application, but withdrew his withdrawal.
  • All applicants approved.

State coordinator elections

  • Motion to be prepared for next NC meeting.

Double Congress

  • Have a formal meeting in March to discuss platform expansion.
  • There have been many suggestions of expansion, and a dedicated session might be extremely productive and allow PPAU to control the narrative in the media.
  • Signal of political maturity.
  • Important to have agreed answers to the main national issues.
  • Avoid a rush job.
  • Avoid cynically adopting policy for votes. Evidence and deliberative processes.
  • Asylum seeker policy will be big for the election.
  • Congress slated for ACT in July.
  • Should be a physical place to focus the event — timetabled event.
  • Extra Congress for candidates was also considered.
  • To be reconsidered at next NC meeting.
