Minutes
Previous meeting minutes
Election Volunteers
- No one in Tas
- A bit of contact lag from the first signups
- In future, relevant state co-ords should contact and wrangle
- Mel's has notes/names
- Most in NSW
- Sunny has list and shall co-ord
- Some Vic ones to confirm details
- Note that lists of names etc should be done on email, not irc etc (privacy etc)
Action Items
- Recent invoice to be paid by current signatories
- Not yet done, David Campbell to put through that payment and notify NC when done
- Mel to propose twitter guidelines and present at next NC meeting (or can fast track via email if need be)
- See "Twitter" item below
- Guidelines for Member Activities
- Not as yet, election stuff having taken over
- Formal guidelines doc may need to wait til after election
Member Database Dump of suburbs
- Basically a suburb counter
- eg "SuburbTown: 42, Postcode: 1234" or something to that effect
- Easy to do
- Brendan will add it to his 'to do' list
Preferences
- They're happening and people are voting
- 150+ responses to deal ballot
- Voting still open, but all going smoothly
Ludlam Endorsement =
- Need to reaffirm eelction Committee motion from last night, it's not clear which committee has the power
- As we are not running in WA, proposal to endorse Scott Ludlam from the Greens.
- See Motions
Add ArikB to Election Committee
- Is now a citizen and member
- See Motions
Funding in General
- Motion that for the election, we just need the treasurer and dep tres to agree to funding arrangements via email to the national council list
- everything is too time critical in election period for slowness
- See Motions
Election Flyers
- Looking at 10k of the blue colour DL flyers
- previous cost was approx $350
- A rough quote suggests $550/20,000. The quote implies delivery is included.
- 10k could be too many for Tas
- Full costs, numbers, distribution and options to be looked at/dicussed in more detail over email
- These flyers are largely generic so if we get too many they are reusable after election anyway
- Individuals can also self print (but need "printed by" updated), David has been doing so & letterboxing in his area.
- Aim for 500 per person handing out on election day, may vary.
- Last weeks action item: "Mel to propose twitter guidelines and present at next NC meeting (or can fast track via email if need be)"
- Proposals were made over email
- Guidlelines will be presented at next NC
- No problems on official twitter account lately anyway
- Frew, Brendan, Mel and Roderick working it hard, been doing well. (Rod doing lots and scheduling too)
- Number followers has jumped recently
- Some good interactions
- Will start retweeting appropriate related stuff from other members too
Email lists
- Brendan to get Daniel the email member list for teh Election list for Thomas
- Election announcement list to be handled by Thomas sending desired communication to NC and NC sending on to the list
- Note, Daniel to get PGP key sorted out for safe encryption of email
- Side Note, All NC members to sort out PGP, Ben can assist if need be.
- Need to sort out the 'subscribe everyone' aspect from last meeting
- DanielJ will pad an announcement/explanation, discuss over email
- Need to use to hit up for volunteers
Volunteers
- When we hit them up next we farm responses out to state co-ords based on their location
- Joe and Geoff to help Ben with that in Vic
- See motions
