Volunteer database - who how what

• Mel has passed on the latest details to Sunny in NSW and Ben in Vic.

• Greens co-ord in WA asking Pirates to help them

• Frew has no more media engagements at the moment
• David has a fairfax news paper article looming and general electioneering and handing out shit at malls
• Mel has B105 radio tomorrow (like Triple M)
• DanielJ possible contact from WaveFM maybe?
• SBS2 claims will be running Brendans interview this week (may get bumped due to wikileaks coverage)
• MX ad happens tomorrow
  • 1/4 page tabloid ad
  • They needed to add the word "Advertisement" to it (10pt at top)

Logistics

• Brendan to be given a list of booths etc to run around and put up signs

• Wollongong is good to go for election day polling places & signs up
• David has gotten lots of signs up around Newcastle/Maitland etc
  • some signs (in all areas) have been stolen
    • Some newcastle ones replaced with CDP signs

• Vic and Qld should have a number of polling places covered

QLD

• On election night is giving a guest speech at the Brisbane Activist centre election party :)
• Will deliver HTVs to volunteers between tomorrow and Friday night

NSW

• Be sure to run around and collect election signs that night
  • Brendan will do this in Sydney

  • a phone-in with SynFM (Youth radio)
  • On Friday Melb folks will hit Southbank with how-to-votes getting the white collar crowd on the way to Flinders St Station, and then on Saturday hit targeted booths in the seat of Melbourne (Adam Bandt's seat) - we're still working on the booth targeting

• HTVS have not arrived yet,
• Still got a few flyers to get out but some more members are helping now which is great
• Looking at around 5-6 ppl on polling day atm

Double Dissolution

• ack
• Abbott wants to scrap the carbon tax. it's his #1 priority, but he won't control the senate to get it done
• Money would be an issue
  • Brendan would self fund if he had to
• If a DD did happen....the bar for actually getting senate candidates in would drop. Our chances would improve by an order of magnitude.
• Likely wouldnt happen for over a year and a half
• 4% would be nice for funding, but not going to happen ;-P
• have had a lot of support and donations, which is awesome, so hopefully would continue to get support. Amount of donors for this election bodes well for the long term.
• whould be time to regroup and get shit together again if a Double dissolution does end up being called

Last Minute PRs

• Mozart to do a 'getawarrant' site PR
• Blackout is Radio/TV ads only so no problem with interviews, PRs etc etc

Other business

• Work on getting shops for shirts etc is progressing (zazzle etc)

• gaining a lot of new members recently & media starting to take us seriously
