Minutes
Previous meeting's minutes
- By-laws were not completed due to lack of time
- All the banking-related action items were done.
- Minor correction to remove implied consensus about "mirroring Greens"
- Vote delayed due to lack of NC members.
- See motions
Banking update
- The documents and application are lodged.
- There's a few steps involved since we've asked for linked accounts with multiple signatories in different cities and a customised netbanking package and non-profit fee waiver.
- Should take a week or two to process everything.
- Designated signatories will need to take two forms of ID to their local ANZ branch and sign off on a form.
- Signatories need to provide date of birth to Mark and advise him which ANZ branch is most convenient.
- If this is done tonight, the application process can move another step tomorrow.
- We will need to deposit $500 to open the accounts; Mark can deposit this and claim reimbursement.
- No issues with this proposal.
- See motions
March in March
- Broad-based protest against Abbott Government reforms.
- A couple of members have asked what we are doing and if we support it.
- Perhaps promote it a little on social media and mention it in an announcement or general discussion.
- It would be good to organise contingents and possibly flyer on the day, although it will depend on how many people we have attending.
- Doesn't hurt to have a general disagreement festival every now and then.
- Aims to be family-friendly.
General business
- Brendan sending out an email to Queensland members asking for volunteers for the Griffith by-election.
- Need to authorise money to produce corflutes for the election.
- $1,100 for 100 corflute signs.
- These are reusable, we're not spending $1,100 on a one-off campaign.
- High quality stickers of candidates can be placed over the picture for every House of Reps election.
- Order can be placed tomorrow, assuming a photo is provided for the design.
- See motions
- Mozart will be in Adelaide from Thursday next week to the following Tuesday.
- Will have laptop and Internet access, but might be busy at various times.
- Call if urgent, but it shouldn't make a huge difference to availability.
- Brendan flying to Queensland next Tuesday, returning Sunday.
- Putting up signs, etc.
Close meeting
