PPI GA

• It's happening
• The PPI board failed to have a quorate meeting last night
• Nobody else has applied to be on the GA team yet but that is not surprising

  • so the model is working pretty well
  • Brendan still thinks the chances of a positive outcome are slim
  • But either way it's important distinction from our original troubles: if we fail now, it is due to the PPI _members_ being shit, not the board.
  • The board has given us full control over this GA.
  • The UK, for example, doesn't know who their PPI delegate is. Others who set up meetings with Brendan then fail to attend those meetings and go dark.
  • We need at least 1/3 of members to give a shit
• Brendan speaking at the Swedish Young Pirates GA in March
• Brendan being located in Europe atm has changed quite a few attitudes
• Note that this PPI overhaul is an all or nothing
  • we either get it or we leave, there can be no exceptions.
  • no point staying around as the current PPI has proven unfixable and unworkable without a rewrite.

Pozible Shirts

• Joe has been busy but reckons he should have enough for postage (ie satchels etc) and beginning address envelopes tonight

General Business

• Study, illnesses and dealing with PPI has meant Brendan has had to put aside member DB work for now
  • Assistance with it would be greatly appreciated
  • It'll take as long as it takes: Every time Brendan puts a deadline on it he gets ill.
• a more collaborative PPI next year would be great as countries can share infrastructure resources etc:
  • eg PP Argentina prints some amazing code and they're excited by this new model of organisation so they would be involved :)

• Thank you card received in the mail from Linguistico from using their translation service
