Minutes

Previous meeting's minutes

  • do next meeting
    • was busy with election

Election

  • We survived the election without disaster, although it was a close thing with the printing
  • We will have to hold a final election committee meeting debrief
  • And have a discussion of the campaign at congress
  • vote down slightly, it seems
  • we will have to go through the post election discussion process, some of which is going on ojn the forums, but will bleed into congress and final election committee meeting
  • We will have to reimburse DanielJ for printing etc
  • Looking at the coverage John (in Bennelong) received if we get to the point where we're setting aside $1k for advertise it might be better to put it into HoR candidates
  • We need to send thank you emails to our candidates and to our volunteers
  • And formally noted in the minutes, thank you to everyone!

Postage and Print reimbursements

  • Extra costs for election stuff. This is posting HTVs to a bunch of NSW Volunteers, posting HTVs and Corflutes to Darren in Cooma, and printing some emergency HTVs here in Wollongong to post because waiing for the waylaid ones wouldve meant not posting any to anyone in regional NSW
    • will leave pozible postage to the side, to look at worrying about that when all of everything has been shipped out so will worry about pozible postage later)
    • Printing (2000 NSW HTVs for postage) $458
    • Express Post Satchels X6 $88.80
    • Express Post Satchels X3 $44.40
    • Corflute Postage to Cooma x1 $40.45
    • HTVs were sent to Bega, Coffs, Newport, Lismore, Hornsby, Maitland. (the x6) oh plus packages to Lachlan and Brandon of shirts, stickers and badges. and HTVs to Cooma separately to the corflutes (which also includes a few shirts etc)
    • so that totals $631.65 which is currently a gaping hole in my credit card and the reason i havent booked my accom for tas yet ;-)
    • Will send through the receipts
    • obviously not worrying about stuff like petrol to newcastle and back via circuitous routes through northern and central Sydney and Bowral etc
    • See motions

Banking

  • Just as update to post election finances
  • first account
    • $2037.63
  • second account
    • $499.96

We are rich!!!

  • so total
    • $2632.63
  • so enough to cover reimbursements and congress costs
    • a smidge more than we expected as some PIN payments came through, possible EOFY donations
  • Most congress tickets taking free option

Congress

  • Congress tickets so far: 4 in person, 7 online
    • No NC on the list though (aside from 1, even though a bunch of us will be there anyway)
  • Need to get name change strawpoll out before congress so that we can use that poll info to inform congress discussion
  • CAPs are on the Wiki, Secretariat has recieved a position nomination we need to add to the nominations. and we need to get agenda sorted and get discussion topics sorted/listed/decided
    • there are a bunch of new policy amendments also
  • Rough plan for Congress, is Day 1 Constitutional changes... Until we finish, then policy until Day 2
    • Then candidate speeches, more policy, then discussion topics
  • re congress, a reminder, get your nominations either onto the wiki yourself or mailed to secretary@ asap.
    • It's looking pretty slim there atm.
  • Reminder, DanielJ & Ben are not running. DanielJ intent is to not recontest any NC position, but to stay on the PDC and social media team if possible and happily retain the merch and act as a type of "quartermaster" if it so pleases the new NC

General Business
