Correspondence, reports, and action items

• Contacts with other parties re electoral cooperation (AndrewD [Sydney], MilesW [Brisbane])
  • AndrewD and MarkG met with Science Party representatives on 27th
    • They're positive, nothing specific discussed
    • They've previously worked with Secular and Cyclists (who have merged into Reason federally)
  • Miles talked with James Noonan (Science's Longman by-election candidate)
    • he's generally interested
    • Science's meetings are weekly on Monday nights
  • In general more meetings with Secular and Flux todo

• Crypto party thing / Pirate event in Sydney (AndrewD, JohnA)
  • Science Party would probably attend too
  • Humanist House is (as previously mentioned) nice and cheap

• State mailouts (Miles)
  • Miles to draft state mailouts to call for coordinators and generally drum up interest.

  • AlexJ would like to do some 'roadsides'
  • Has designed some signage to be printed and bluetacked to the front of a regular corflute

  • Updates
    • 5 EOIs received via email across 3 states thus far
  • Do we think we need to move the date forward (i.e. will the election be called in the next two weeks?)

• Chelsea Manning tour (MilesW)
  • Chelsea Manning will be on her first speaking tour of Australia in the next couple of weeks
  • PPAU was asked by the organisers if we'd like to be part of a sponsorship/partnership
  • Don't think we have the cash on hand to be a meaningful sponsor...
  • What we can do is promote it in our social media and in a member email
  • In exchange they'll list us as a partner/supporter on slides etc

• Basic Income Video (MilesW)
  • If the draft's not ready for this, defer until next meeting (or email)
  • Miles, Brandon and Alex have come up with a 30 second BI video draft

    • Has served several years as Social Media Officer (since before the 2016 Federal election)
