National Council meeting 10th December 2020

  • IT problems, mostly overcome
  • ridiculously higher viewership compared to everything else

Cashless Welfare Card

  • We've been invited to support this campaign
  • The CWC is very much not in the UBI ethos; probably worth doing

  • Currently at about 70% of what we need
  • Renewals of expiries probably fairly tapped out already
  • Perhaps a "recruit a friend" drive worth pursuing?
    • Miles had an idea to send stickers, but his physical stock is not AEC compliant
  • Calling plan: Alex to populate pastebins of about 20, caller to do a batch, etc
    • Privacy policy needed updating to properly allow this; see motions.

Next livestream

  • Proposal to publicly announce our likely deregistering via livestream and hold a community meeting to discuss our future immediately afterwards on evening of Thu 17th Dec
  • Intent to stick around as advocacy body, but prefer to remain registered or seek re-registration.
