Name
- Protect our Privacy
- No objections to continuing original name.
Social Media
- Facebook events:
- Brisbane: https://www.facebook.com/events/1392643377619633/
- Should have a separate one in each city in addition to the http://ourprivacy.org.au/ website
Banners/Posters/Flyers etc
- Hit up Somerset Bean for banners/posters again
- we will try and get the designs done ASAP for the protests
- Proof read your protest signs, people!. Spelling and punctuation mistakes makes you look stoooopid!

Next Meeting
- Next Monday IRC 8pm 29/7/13
- After this weekends variious state planning meetings:
- State level planning meetings (tentative):
- Sydney meeting at the Paragon 1pm this Saturday
- Melbourne, 1pm this Saturday, mail exchange hotel
- Perth 1pm Perth cultural center
- Brisbane 1pm Saturday @ the Plough Inn South Bank
- Hobart TBA
- Adelaide 1pm at the Wheatsheaf Hotel, George Street, Thebarton (BYO Food to share) (added post-meeting)
Ideas/Brainstorming (pasted from pad)
- Giant Paper Mache Camera / Whistle
- BBQ both carnivore and herbivore options (Lamb, Chicken, Falafel, ?; just to be on the safe side for Kosher, Halal, etc.)
- bring whistles for blowing
- We need a name that is catchy like #PRISMBREAK but one people understand and don't associate with PRISON instead of PRISM Its like a prison, just global-like, but genpop don't understand that. Works for hashtag I think, but not protest name... yes
- Huge banners this time, like bed sheet sized with poles to hold them up
- even actual bed sheets painted on provided they are not skeevy looking.
- harassing shows like Sunrise that have windows to the public
- calling into radio stations
- writing into news papers about it
- schedule a flash mob of at least 30 people for the traffic lights at george st / park st a half hour before hand, no fancy dancing perhaps concentric circles running around a central "protect our privacy banner" flash mob may be affective in pitt st mall as well maybe flashmob there at 12 and then flashmob george/park at 1230 right before action starts at 1?
- Sam Kearns is working on some funky music that might fit this well.
- Fliers at the Ekka (large crowds)
- Brisbane-a few people walking around making people aware of the protest half hour before?
- Would highlighting what meta-data is available without a warrant a way of making it easily for more people to understand? No warrant required - to check who has called you;
- No warrant required - to get your phone's GPS data.
- Louder PA/ Larger Speaker for Sydney Rally
- Update Ourprivacy.org.au to reflect the new protest date(s) and any other relevant info.
- Collaboration may continue on http://pad.pirateparty.org.au/p/protectourprivacycontent
Speaker List; Equipment
- Discuss locally
