Minutes
Republic issue
- Constitutional Reform wG has hit a deadlock on whether to develop a stance on republicanism.
- Brendan and Mozart were in favour, Mark and Laura weren't convinced it was worth bothering.
- Ben and David both in favour.
- Ben, David, Brendan, Mozart all in favour.
- Republicanism to be included.
Serious Invasions of Privacy WG
- We did a submission on this not long ago, on the issues paper.
- The discussion paper has been released now, so we need to submit again on that.
- Frew is happy to chair the WG — no objections to this

- Due 12 May — just over a month.
- Australia's law reform process is backwards.
- The ALRC is given a very short amount of time to research and report, but it takes forever for recommendations to be implemented.
Senate Elections WG
- Andrew cannot chair this anymore.
- Brendan will chair it instead.
- WG renamed to Election Inquiry WG.
General business
