Name of Group: <group>
Status
The <group> is to be an informal advisory group within Pirate Party Australia, directly answerable to the National Council.
Summary of Purpose
The <group> is responsible for providing feedback on proposals considered by the National Council.
Membership
Chair
The <group> will be chaired by the Deputy President or a representative selected by the National Council.
Committee Members
Membership of the <group> is by invitation only. Members of the <group> are appointed by approval of a majority vote of the National Council.
Powers & Responsibility
Obligations
The <group> will provide feedback on any proposal or situation put to them by the National Council or its members.
Powers
Members of <group> have the power to:
- Participate freely in National Council meetings (unless otherwise specified) but do not have voting rights.
- Communicate with outside organisations as a representative of Pirate Party Australia for the purposes of investigating proposals put to <group>.
Reporting
The Chair (or a nominated stand in) shall be responsible for:
- scheduling and chairing meetings of the <group> that they deem necessary.
Budgetary Requirements
<group> is not expected to incur any expenses but may request resources from the National Council.
Tools and Procedures for Communication
The <group> may determine its own tools and procedures for communication.
Decision Making Procedure
Decision making should be democratic, and decisions made through consensus. The <group> will not be able to make decisions solely, except where these terms of reference allow.
Expected Duration
Indefinite.
