Committee Members Needed!

Pirate Party Australia needs your help. We are recruiting for members to serve on a variety of committees.

If you, or someone you know, has some expertise or passion for the following areas, send an email to [email protected], including a brief bio and your location, and we will get back to you.

Some of these committees will require members from several states, and we think that about a half a dozen members per committee should suffice. The committees will be responsible for setting up structures in each state, where required, and the committees will report directly to the the National Council.

The committees that are recruiting are:

Internet Media

The Internet Media committee will be responsible for organising viral media campaigns.

Media Relations

The Media Relations committee will be responsible for engaging with the media, to both organise and conduct interviews.

Snappy Comebacks

There are many arguments against what we are trying to achieve. We know that these arguments are flawed, but it is difficult for everyone to know everything. The Snappy Comebacks committee will be in charge of developing FAQs and other answer/response lists that will allow the party to better convince skeptics of the value in what we are trying to achieve.

Campaigns

The Campaigns committee will be involved in running election campaigns, including helping candidates and negotiating with other parties for preference deals

Fundraising

The Pirate Party will need a lot of money. The Fundraising committee will be involved in various harebrained schemes to pull in loot. They might not be conventional, but they will all be legal.

Community Engagement

The Community Engagement committee will need to actively get involved in the community. A big part of this will be forum and university based. We are aiming to have a group in every university in Australia.

Political Lobbying

We don’t have anyone in parliament, yet. We will be relying on the Political Lobbying committee to organise the making of calls and the sending of letters.

IT/Systems

The IT/Systems committee will be involved in mostly in website management, however this will mostly be handled by existing, qualified members.
