Promotional images for online distribution

  1. This section applies to all promotional images intended for online distribution by the Pirate Party, except for paid Internet advertisements.
  2. Promotional images for online distribution
    1. may be commenced and created by any member of the Pirate Party, and
    2. must adhere to the Identity Style Guide.
  3. Images must be submitted for approval to the Pirate Party's Flickr Group Pool.
  4. Any member of the Pirate Bureau Steering Committee may
    1. approve a submitted image for inclusion in the Pirate Party's Flickr Gallery, or
    2. reject a submitted image for inclusion in the Pirate Party's Flickr Gallery, or
    3. withdraw approval given by them or another member under subsection (4)(a).
  5. If an image is rejected under subsection (4)(b) or approval is withdrawn under subsection (4)(c)
    1. reasons must be given for the rejection or withdrawal, and
    2. if appropriate — feedback must be given to the submitter with a view to having the image included in the Pirate Party's Flickr Gallery.

Printed materials, videos and paid Internet advertisements

  1. Printed materials, videos and paid Internet advertisements
    1. may be commenced and created by any member of the Pirate Party, and
    2. must adhere to the Identity Style Guide.
  2. Authorisation under this section may only be given by the National Council.
  3. Authorisation is required for
    1. all printed materials, except
      1. newspaper advertisements announcing the holding of a meeting, or
      2. t-shirts, or
      3. lapel buttons and badges, or
      4. pens and pencils, or
      5. balloons, or
      6. business cards, or
      7. letters and cards already incorporating the name and address of the sender that do not contain a representation of a ballot paper, and
    2. all videos, whether or not they are published online, and
    3. all paid advertisments on the Internet.
  4. All materials required to be authorised under this section must, until authorised, have on all sides
    1. the word 'DRAFT' in large, red, capital letters emblazoned prominently across the material, and
    2. sufficient space at the bottom or end of the material for
      1. an authorisation tag, and
      2. a printing tag, if a printing tag is required.
  5. All materials submitted for authorisation must be accompanied by a statement of the creator
    1. confirming that all materials can be licenced under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence, and
    2. noting any applicable exceptions under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).
  6. Before publication or distribution, a Councillor or another person at the direction of the National Council must affix
    1. an authorisation tag on all sides of the material in the form 'Authorised by' followed by the name, position and full address of a consenting Councillor, and
    2. if intended to be printed — a printing tag on all sides of the material in the form 'Printed by' followed by the name and full address of the entity that printed the material, and
    3. if requested by their creator — an acknowledgement in the form
      1. 'Created by', followed by the name of the creator in the same font and size as the authorisation tag, or
      2. an inoffensive and subtly-placed maker's mark approved by the National Council.
