Approve previous meeting minutes

Temporary constitutional amendment

• Amendment will be taken to the party for a vote, and acceptance conditional on the outcome.
• Debate over the necessity of requiring a reason for choosing 'associate membership'.
• Constitutional amendment has been withdrawn; a by-law will be adopted pending the outcome of a party wide vote.

Preselection bylaw amendment

• "Nominations must be submitted at least 14 days before the relevant meeting." <-- Proposal to change 14 days to 3 days.
• A meeting will need to be hosted 2 days prior to process any further applications receieved.

Preselection applications

• Acceptance of David Campbell and Brendan Molloy's applications.

PPI Voting

• Proposal to give Simon Frew complete discretion over PPI-GA voting on condition that:
  • he does not vote for the re-election of any of the current board members
  • he does not vote in favour of membership fees.

Approve Campaigns Committee posters

• Proposal to allow Brendan to approve posters outside of NC meetings, on condition it has the approval of the Campaigns Officer.
• Process for approval - Material --> Campaigns --> National Council --> Approval by Brendan

Membership payments

• Bug found in the payment form preventing invoice state and Paypal ID from being stored.
• Trivial fix.
• Only one member affected.

Membership update

• Several resignations.
• 6 new members.

Motions

Motion: Ratify Minutes of last NC meeting located https://pirateparty.org.au/wiki/Minutes/National_Council/2013-03-13

• 5 ayes.
• Motion passes.

Motion: adopt the Additional Membership Levels bylaw as written, conditional on the acceptance of the bylaw by majority vote of the Party. A one week voting period will begin on Monday, April 1.

Motion: amend preselection bylaw from 14 days to 3 days.

• 5 ayes.
• Motion passes.

Motion: accept David Campbell's application for preselection candidacy for the NSW Senate.

• 5 ayes.
• Motion passes.

Motion: accept Brendan Molloy's application for preselection candidacy for the NSW Senate.

• 4 ayes.

• Motion passes.

Motion: that Simon Frew has complete discretion in regard to voting at the PPI General Assembly conference, with the condition that he does not vote for the re-election of any current board members, nor the introduction of membership fees.

Motion: Brendan has authority to authorise posters outside of National Council meetings, as part of the current process of authorisation.
