Election Materials
- Dark Horse stuffed us around in timings for How To Vote handouts (HTVs)
- Now ordering from "discount printing"
- $2020 for 20k how to votes for Syd, Bris and Melbourne, 6k to Tas.
- Brendan paid out of own pocket, will hold over expense claim til after election
- most other places were way more expensive even
- HTVs should be dleivered by Tuesday next week
- some leads other new suppliers have been found for future dealings (ones greens use)
- A new order of plain logo t-shirts also ordered by Brendan, again own pocket, expense claim post election
- QLD supplier
Polling day
- reminder, vote in advance so dont need do it on the day
- reminder to stock up on supplies for the day, hats, food, drink, sunscreen etc
- inner city polling stations with most voters for brendan to be added to spreadsheet
- newcastle, hunter and paterson for David Campbell also to add to polling place spreadsheet
Election post mortem
- After election need to go over numbers, results etc, data analysis
- Mark and Ben will look into analysing the votes etc (some other #ppau regulars may also be interested)
- General Post-mortem
- note that Senate counts may not be completed til some time after the election
- Frew happy to head up the process as continuation of election committee
Online Shops
- DanielJ to create range of online PPAU shops pointing at ppau paypal or ppau bank account for payment
- this way we at least dont have situation of not being able to give potential buyers an option
- does not preclude doing our own runs of goods or sales on things
- not to market them heavily, especially not ones that are morally questionable (sweatshops etc), but rather just to have options for potential buyers that are looking for goods
Cosplay clarification
- Melbourne volunteers want to wear pirate costumes
- cosplay generally not encouraged, but allowed on condition that:
- they dont ham it up for media & no cornish accents
- they've gotta be familiar with the policy talking points (see https://pirateparty.org.au/wiki/Electioneering#Talking_to_people.2Fmedia )
- if questioned by the media then they say they're volunteers and the media should talk to Joe, Geoff or Ben
- cosplay generally not encouraged, but allowed on condition that:
