Banking

  • Brendan and Mark went to ANZ
    • new transaction account we're getting charges $1.60 per transaction over 5 transactions -- or otherwise we have a $10 per month account fee
    • signatory forms have been doing the rounds at peoples local banks and being signed
  • ANZ misleading initial info re costs, if things dont work out then perhaps look at Bank of Queensland as an alternative

Add Geoff Topolski to the Design Team

  • CandidC on IRC.
  • He sent in a portfolio about 4 weeks ago.
    • Looks good; does AV stuff
  • We forgot to cover this last meeting.

Add Nick Casmirri to the Constitution Review Committee and to the Press Team

  • ex-Greens member
  • bunch of us met him at least Sydney meet up
  • good past experience in campaigns and press stuff, writes well

International Relations Team

  • Had our first meeting, we discussed the general state of PPI, 5 Eye Patches and starting communications in the Asia Pacific region.

Approve PPI Formal Statement

Grant Peter Fulton a Pirate Party email address

  • The motion passed at the last congress included PPI setting up regional officers to facilitate communications
  • Peter Fulton volunteered to head up these efforts, and is currently scouting out the various parties to contact.
    • He requested a Pirate Party email address so he would be recognisable as a representative of PPAU when trying to make contact.
    • Frew thinks he needs it.
  • So long as PPI related emails are vetted, this should be fine (Even Brendan has his PPI mails vetted)

Website updates and content

  • In the next 30 days Brendan would like to see the following on the website:
    • National Council page
    • Committees/Groups/etc page
    • if possible, a nice to use policy reader the first two can easily be done within 14 days.
  • NC Page to include photo and bio
  • also "dampe" on irc is offering assistance with website theme maintenance etc

Brendan's schedule

  • Appearing at a Greens panel in Sydney this Sunday
    • talking about democracy and surveillance and what not
  • On wednesday will be speaking to an FBi radio person for about an hour about copyright issues
  • Will be spending as much of next week as possible bashing through the join form.
    • new programming guy on that is great help also

Password changes

  • Just a reminder that these need to be changed periodically
    • Fletcher to look into this further

Switch campaign providers

  • Joe Miles suggests using https://www.chuffed.org/compare/
    • Brendan will look into it
    • the turnaround of starting a thing seems to be long
    • We do also however have as an end goal is that we self host anyway

Switch AusPost provider from online to a local store

  • Joe Miles also suggesting we allow him to purchase postage supplies locally rather than ordering online and shipping to him
    • Makes sense
    • saves time, probably money and generates good will in the community

  • Mostly servers, then busses and trains for the events Brendan has represented us at.
    • Bank statement emailed to NC

Secretary adminstrator access

  • Being able to perform IT tasks directly, such as updating the calendar and uploading media, would streamline some of the processes within the party. Brendan informs me that this access has historically been granted.

General Business

  • David Crafti will be organising a Melbourne meeting, probably for October 5th. He'll email about it on the weekend.
  • Ben and DavidCrafty need to meet up at some stage to handover some details (ie Vic Twitter account etc)
  • Keating has posted vodaphone dongle to PO Box
