Previous meeting's minutes

Mailouts & emailin

  • those party wide mails we send, the newsletters etc, we need to go back to sending them via announce list, and post to discourse and possily point via social media
    • the script of brendans that mails based off the member DB - we should save that for crucial vote mails etc
    • Reasoning is: there are some pretty fine margins insofar as 3rd parties deciding we are spam
  • We also need to go through and audit the emails that are in the bounce report from the last mailout

Adiens NC resignation

  • Adien has emailed a resignation from NC due to other committments, time etc
  • Issue covered in constitution here: https://pirateparty.org.au/constitution/#10.1(6)
    • 10.1.6 In the event a member of the National Council is unable or unwilling to perform their duties, the remaining members of the National Council may declare the position vacant and appoint an interim replacement by two-thirds majority vote of the remaining members of the National Council. The next National Congress will then elect a Member to fill that vacant position.
    • ie NC can appoint someone to fill in til next congress
    • Peter Fulton only missed out to Adien on a very narrow margin
      • Will contact him to see if he wishes to take on the position, if so, can appoint

Congress Date

  • Due to study an travel commitments of various people, it has been suggested to lock in the date ASAP so arrangements can be made
  • a reminder that Congress will be in Hobart this year
  • 23-24 July suggested as date
    • if need be this gives us the final weekend in July as option to push out to if need be due to emergency

Warchest campaign update

  • Frew didnt do the next round of requests for money due to the lack of NC meeting a fortnight ago and other committments
    • Will do it with the next mailout
  • DanielJ will attempt to mock up the "hall of fame" idea and work on the shareable progress goal image
  • MarkG will set up the etsy store and finish the treasurers report

Alliance for Progress

  • The only thing to add here is we should see if other parties want to contribute to member DB costs
    • something to bring up at the next AfP meeting

General Business

  • Pozible rewards should be sent out soon
    • DanielJ will just put in for reimbursement of postage costs after the fact
  • Frew will set up pozible page for CS:GO tournament
  • Thomas will look further into setting up and getting people together for website redesign
