• Election timing contingencies (AndrewD)
  • AndrewD is very confident for timing reasons that there will be no election this year
    • Vic state election is now happening, and after that is December and Christmas
    • January/February is essentially never used for elections
    • March has the NSW State election
    • April likewise would have NSW overlap
    • This leaves May, being the last possible month to hold a regular half-Senate election
    • Q: chances of separate half-Senate election, as was in media today?
    • A: costs outweight gains
