Why do you feel that you are qualified for the position for which you have declared your candidacy?
I have stood for election in the seat of Bennelong and also in the Senate in previous Federal elections. I have been interested in Pirate Party ideas for quite some time and sympathise with them. I have been active in political parties and activist groups for a great deal of time.
Why are you seeking the position for which you have declared your candidacy?
I have stood several times in the past, and have less energy and money to put into being a candidate than I have in the past. However, there may still be a place for me to run a passive campaign, if that makes sense as things roll forward.
What experience/contribution have you made so far to the Pirate movement, and what will you do to advance or better the Party and movement?
I have stood for election, and have taken an ongoing interest in party ideas and turning up to pub and more recently getting pirates along to Sydney speakers in the domain gatherings. At the same time as I am impressed with pirate party ideas, I hope that they might gain greater traction with the public. I have promoted the the party on my radio show and have put speeches to the you tube channel, covering a few different topics, which have been reasonable successful in getting views.
Do you agree with the Pirate Party platform and its ideals? What other political movements or parties have you been a part of?
I strongly identify with pirate party ideas, as is referenced by my writings in flyers at the last election and also on my own website ( see later) . I've been in the Secular Party of Australia and the Abolish State Governments Party. I'm also currently involved with numerous activist groups, including the NSW Humanists and the Sydney Outdoor Lighting Improvement Society. I also host a program on community radio, Roving Spotlight.

Why do you feel that you are qualified for the position for which you have declared your candidacy?
I have been a community lawyer for the majority of my career and currently work as a criminal defence lawyer exclusively for Indigenous Australians. I am therefore experienced in helping the disenfranchised and vulnerable with their issues and advocating for them, which I believe would be useful in representing the people of Queensland in the senate. I've also been involved in party politics since the age of 18 and stood in the 2016 & 2019 Federal Elections for the Pirate Party.
Why are you seeking the position for which you have declared your candidacy?
Like many others, I am angry with the current state of Australian politics, and wish to instigate change in how our politicians behave in their professional capacity and how they represent their constituents. Australians deserve a better class of politicians, and we're going to give it to them.
What experience/contribution have you made so far to the Pirate movement, and what will you do to advance or better the Party and movement?

I have been a member of the Pirate Party Australia since its creation, acting as its first Legal Officer. I later served as Queensland Coordinator, and have contributed to policy development and previous election campaigns.

To advance the Pirate Party, I would campaign as best I can for the Federal Election, regardless of receiving the party’s nomination or not. I would attempt to highlight our policies to the electorate and even if we are not successful in campaigning, try to ensure that the issues we are advocating for are talked about and at least in the forefront of voters’ minds.

Further, I would advocate an aggressive recruitment drive with the end goal being to register the Queensland branch as a political party to contest seats at the next Queensland State Election. I would also hope to diversify our membership base.

Finally, I would seek to make formal alliances with other political parties, civil liberties and community groups that share our core values and that we can work with cordially. To implement any change in Australia, we are not going to be able to work alone.
Do you agree with the Pirate Party platform and its ideals? What other political movements or parties have you been a part of?
I agree with the Pirate Party Platform and its ideals. I was previously a member of the Australian Democrats.

Why do you feel that you are qualified for the position for which you have declared your candidacy?
I have been working in professional services for most of my adult life. Admittedly I have not been involved in politics until recent years, but will be bringing my experience of working with people and managing delivery teams into this space.
Why are you seeking the position for which you have declared your candidacy?
I have been increasingly disappointed with the state of Australian politics and the representatives that are available for election. None of the major parties are doing a good job for the people of Australia and as such, I am making myself available as an alternative.
What experience/contribution have you made so far to the Pirate movement, and what will you do to advance or better the Party and movement?

I have been a member of Pirate Party Australia since 2019 and a member of National Council since 2021. As this is my first involvement in a major election, I will be working with other experienced party members to organise and implement the best campaign we can. I will help organise and participate in campaign drives in order to raise the public awareness of the Pirate Party and the issues we stand for. I'd like to reach out to groups who are less likely to have heard about the party through their normal circles and also other political parties and groups to bring light to our platform.

My main areas of interest are around environment and freedom of speech and liberties.
Do you agree with the Pirate Party platform and its ideals? What other political movements or parties have you been a part of?
Yes, I agree with the underlying Pirate Party platform and ideals. I have not been part of any other political party or movement.

Why do you feel that you are qualified for the position for which you have declared your candidacy?
I am a founding member who has promoted the party and assisted with several of our election campaign efforts in the past while living in Brisbane before moving to Adelaide, and a councillor on our National Council over recent years.
Why are you seeking the position for which you have declared your candidacy?
To assist our ongoing political influence, I am willing to nominate as a potential candidate for Senate elections to help the cause of both Pirates and cooperating parties with the Fusion initiative.
What experience/contribution have you made so far to the Pirate movement, and what will you do to advance or better the Party and movement?
I'm a full-stack .NET developer, primarily working on corporate enterprise systems. For the past 6 years I've been contracting to Telstra as an NBN Automation Consultant. If elected to the Australian Federal senate I will seek to faithfully reflect the consensus of our members and uphold our core values. I hold concerns with the increasing threats to our freedom of expression, and control of widely accessible information online being scripted or supressed by a handful of tech and media companies along with their wealthy global partners.
Do you agree with the Pirate Party platform and its ideals? What other political movements or parties have you been a part of?
I support our current party policy and value the democratic processes which continue to expand our platform. Pirate Party Australia is the only political party I've held formal membership in.
