Thank you for this opportunity to inform the Pirate Party membership of our party's position on matters of vital concern to all Australians who treasure our traditional 'civil rights' and especially 'privacy rights', threatened as they are by un-necessary government regulation and intervention...
Precisely as does the Pirate Party, AF & LP vehemently opposes the blatant violation of basic citizens' rights by all forms of government, whether domestic or foreign. As you may be aware, we have campaigned vigorously in previous senate contests for the 'Restoration of Your Rights': Your right to fish without restriction by wholly un-necessary environmental 'laws' implemented as a consequence of pressure brought-upon Australian governments by overseas lobby groups; Your right to develop your own freehold property as you 'see-fit', without the draconian 'rules and regulations', red tape and green tape, that presently gravely inhibit a land-owner's property rights; Your right to access national parks and reserves, light camp-fires and 'boil billies' - and ride horses - in all such parks where these traditionally 'Aussie' activities are presently banned - or subject to the acquisition of 'permits' that are virtually impossible to procure; Your right to own and use guns, subject to appropriate firearm licensing. In simple summary, the A.F & L.P. is aggressively civil libertarian - and fulsomely supports Pirate Party Australia's most-welcome stance against the violation of every citizen's right to privacy - breached massively by the current Commonwealth government's abject failure to protect our basic privacy rights. Accordingly, I respectfully suggest that the Pirates Party of Australia and the Australian Fishing & Lifestyle Party share many common goals. AF & LP will, of course, add a demand for the restoration of privacy rights to the suite of policies our senate candidates will be campaigning-on in the weeks ahead. In conclusion, I thank you and your membership for your valued consideration of the foregoing - and wish each of your candidates the very best outcome in the coming poll. Your's sincerely, |
