Standard: National Council Handover Procedure
Purpose
Handovers yo
Near beginning of 7 day handover period
- Elections Workgroup to declare Results from Congress Elections.
- Outgoing Secretary to email link to election results website post to announcement list.
- 7 Day Handover period effective immediately from announcement on Website*
Handover Meeting
Next Scheduled NC Meeting (within this 7 day period) is a 'handover' meeting:
- If no NC meeting naturally falls within this period, one should be scheduled/called by outgoing Secretary (to occur within this period)
- Chair should be outgoing President
- Only the outgoing NC has voting rights at this meeting
- Outgoing NC to vote on minutes of previous meeting
- If possible, finalise any issues/costs etc arising from Congress
- Outgoing members to raise any important issues that need to be relayed to incoming members
- Schedule next NC meeting
- Confirm addresses to be used for Party Correspondence, Authorisation lines and Street Address records with AEC
- Delegate creation of ToRs for new Committees and/or Work Groups arising from Congress
- Ensure incoming coordinators are inducted into proper usage of announcement lists and twitter accounts
ITWG
- ITWG to notify outgoing NC members, Coordinators and Officers of 28 day account closure period (as soon as possible after announcement of results)
- ITWG to create and enable email accounts for incoming NC members , Coordinators and Officers (as soon as possible after announcement of results)
- ITWG to add (as soon as possible after announcement of results, and after creation or relevant incoming email accounts):
- Incoming NC members to [email protected]
- Incoming officers to [email protected]
- Incoming coordinators to [email protected]
- Incoming secretary, deputy secretary, president, and deputy president to [email protected] and [email protected]
- ITWG to inform [email protected] of the completion of above tasks.
Secretariat
- Outgoing Secretariat to notify incoming NC members, Coordinators and Officers of links detailing obligations via email (within 24 hours of receiving the above ITWG notification)

- Initiate process to update relevant information with AEC.

Treasury
- Begin process to assign any new signatories to the Party bank accounts (and remove old)

ITWG
- Add coordinators ability to post to relevant state announcements lists
- Inform coordinators of their posting ability
- Add accounts for relevant incoming members to Wordpress
- ITWG/Executive/Social Media Officer to grant coordinators access to formal state coordinator twitter accounts
Treasury
- Outgoing Treasurer to facilitate bank signatory updating process
